In year 2005, while our first born Emma was about 1 ½ year old, I brought her back to China to learn about our heritage. As immigrant and now Canadian citizen for 13 years, I believe that besides embracing new culture, we also don’t want to forget where we came from.

Back in China, where I stayed for all my childhood, teen hood and partially adulthood, it is strange and familiar to me. A lot of things had changed since my last visit, the cars passing by so quickly that without friends’ help, I would have never been able to cross the street all by myself; people are more used of foreigners, they don’t stare much any more; internet, cell phone, computer, everything is so fast paced and high-teched that I was completely lost in the modern city and environment…

Then my mum, who is leaving to Canada soon, introduced me Ronde Flower Craft, the flowers were so beautifully craft, I totally fell in love with it the moment I got my hands on it. And as I got familiar even well settled at my hometown within our 15 months staying, this craft had been beside me all along, which it became my priority on my spare time besides entertaining Emma.

It has been almost 5 years since, and I haven’t get any bored with this craft, and with my husband Andrew Chow’s encouragement, I decided to make it my passion of life.
